...Alright guys, I was just sitting around, bored with CreepE and crap, it's late at night and the drunks next door can't shut the hell up. So I finally found something interesting. CreepE has long asked why no Marie fans ever explain why they like Marie. I found a poll from an unlikely source asking why Marie was popular. In the end, most of the responses had one of these:

1) They are cute

2) The creators are popular

3) IDK

Well...we started sporking comments. This isn't uncommon. We usually do it for fun and discussion. Midway through, CreepE decided he wanted to submit these but wanted me to do it this time because he's been doing most of the work with me gone. Well...at any rate, I ended up not knowing who the hell actually made these comments...in fact, I don't even know where what comment ends when...so uhhh...just gonna copy/paste it here. Not sure if you will like it or not because it was kinda improvised and I had no clue this was going to be submitted until around the middle. I decided to delete some of the unsavory things I said before posting it because, I confess, I can be much more of a dick when I'm not trying to tone down aggressiveness for the sake of people's feelings. Still, sorry if I come off as more blunt and insulting during the beginning.

They're just very adorable. They're 2nd gen. kids, but unlike most of PnF kids, they are fairly original.

Creep: ...how?

They like to build, but most of their inventions explode.

Creep: Explosions doesn’t equal originality.
Erik: ...Well...actually...we don’t KNOW if that’s true. I mean check it out, Marie’s making an invention in CTT and it’s fine.

Thomas can be quiet, but he talks way more than Ferb.

Creep: Doesn’t really scream originality. =\

They like music, but mainly it's Tommy who loves it.

Creep: Lots of people love music....not original.
Erik: Wtf? How is that original? P&F were HUGE on music.

Tom likes Marie, and she's oblivious, but she's way more oblivious than Phinny ever was.

Creep: It’s Phinbella and Fernessa combined and it’s incest.
Erik: How is this original? It’s Phinbella and Phinerb combined.

And Jazz is just really spunky and cool.

Erik: Where the hell did you get that? We know nothing about her. I have done extensive research on her and never seen a spunky moment.
Creep: She’s a Thomarie fangirl who’s basically Irving incarnate.

Basically, it's got that PnF spark in there, but it's still original.

Erik: AHAHAHAHAHAH!!!
Creep: No, it has neither.

There was a lot of thought put into this.

Creep: That is crap. We don’t even know why Thomarie is a couple. THEY don’t even know that!

They are sorta like their 'rents, but they're still their own people, you know?

Erik: I don’t know....

Like a normal kid is.

Erik: No.

Anyway, that's what it is for me. I can't answer for others.

Creep: A normal kid....no...a P&F kid...still no...Marie’s not even worthy of the term “mutant”. An abomination is a better name for her. “Sorta”, my ass...she’s a clone of the two and lacks any personality to make her original.

As for Thomarie, While they are cousins, there is no blood relation between them whatsoever, so it is actually is okay for them to have a relationship.

Erik: Because family and love means nothing.
Creep: Despite going completely against everything P&F stood for.

You know, now that I think about it, That's probably part of the reason why people enjoy the pairing cause it kind of shares the view that true love can exist anywhere

Erik: ...If THIS is the reason why people like Marie, I have lost faith in humanity.
Creep: ‘Til you realize that Paola doesn’t know why they’re together.

What I really don't get is why people have to hate on them so much. Seriously, what did they even do to deserve it?

Erik: The incest you were doting on is part of the reason.
Creep: They’re horrible OCs that poisoned a future generation of potential writers and artists on the web, mocking the show they claim to praise and avoiding any common sense or any negative criticism.

Although, I guess it all comes down to people how just can't accept things being different from the norm. They're just too judgemental

Erik: ...Forgive me for not adoring the concept of bleeding incest.

Its weird in a way...but once you kinda get past the weirdness and dont think of them as a couple, even just tom and marie separately are pretty cool Ocs

Creep: No, even outside of the Thomarie shit.....they still suck. Marie....well you know how I feel about and Thomas is stolen and Flanderized beyond belief. Even if they didn’t have Thomarie there, they still suck ass.
Erik: Some say he was named after Thomas Sangster...I believe he was named after Tom Preston. Oh wait...now I remember...he was named after Thomas Fletcher...in fact...he was stolen from Thomas Fletcher.

Idk why they like each other in that way but Ive seen stranger pairings for sure.

Creep: And amazingly, some of them actually have reasons for them.
Erik: ...And you’re just....OK with it? Don’t care about the actual character?

Alot of there popularity is almost meme-like
And the fact the creators are hugely popular in there own right makes the hype all the greater.

Creep: Again, inspiring an entire generation of young artists to steal background, have no effort for work and don’t even try.
Erik: …^ The worst bit.

Sometimes a character can be more popular if someone with a high watcher count creates it verses a low watcher count member.

Erik: ….Sadly, I must agree.

Oh dear. 19 other people have already commented, so I don't know how this'll help, but here goes hyper . . .
First, I'd say that the creators did a really fantastic job on them.

Creep: No and...NO.

Marie is just as cute and bubbly as her mom and as fun

Erik: She’s cuter. Its like this. Isabella is a bit of sugar in your coffee. Marie is filling over half the cup with sweetener until it’s just nasty.

and curious as her dad.

Creep: Which is more annoying than endearing.

Thomas . . . he just looks really hot. Nuff said. JK!

Creep: More or less either a 11 year old crushing on a cartoon or a much other woman/man crushing on a cartoon.
Erik: Reminds me of Twi-Moms--are we submitting these? XD
Creep: you’re gonna do it. XD
Erik: We are?! ...Fine.

Anyway, he has that not-super-talkative air about him, and he has a bit of a rebel look too, like his mom.

Creep: Which was tolerable before he got Flanderized.

If they weren't already taken, I'd want to pair them with my OC's.

Creep: As long as they aren’t Phinbella kids or any distant relatives, I will give you my blessing.
Erik: Or inserts...*shudder*

Second, I think the whole thing of pairing them up and making them is really creative.

Creep: No. Before, when they were cousins was creative. Now it’s just shit.
Erik: Would you consider pairing up Phineas and Ferb creative?

To endeavor to come up with what their kids would be like took some imagination, and I kinda fell for them the first time I saw them.

Creep: Kinda sad.
Erik: ...You mean just copy/pasting traits to the point that it’s just unnatural?

But naturally, I want to know what happens to them! Well, knowing their parents is a Phinabella&Ferbnessa thing, which are my two favorite PnF1 couples.

Creep: Which bastardized an actual couple and a pedophilic couple.
Erik: We already know what happens. They get married, have forbidden sex, give birth to a demon spawn named Sophie, the end.

I didn't want to be into something that kills a realtionship that's already there, so Thomarie was a freebie, I guess.

Creep: The pretty art, I guess. Screw characterization or...even applying common sense....the art looks pretty.

I did see what the Ferbellas meant by a shy guy and a bubbly girl being together being cute, but, hello! you're totally ruining both Phinabella and Ferbnessa!

Erik: I don’t give a Perry’s ass.
Creep: I rather have Ferbella than Thomarie anyday.

But the bubbly spirit of Isabella is in Marie, and Ferb's quiet awesomeness comes out in his son. So it's got that adorable principle going for it.

Erik: So basically just copy/pasta of their parents.
Creep: Which is ruined by them being related.

Thirdly, not a reason why initially I went for it, but why I still like it: I do not care one bit that (well, first, Ferb is younger than Vanessa or that) Thomas and Marie are step-cousins.

Creep: Even though this is the theme of the show itself and the general theme of the Flynn-Fletcher family.
Erik: That is very scary and saddening.

My youth pastor has a friend who was adopted into his family and liked his 'legal' cousin. I don't have any romantic interests my cousins, but I have three who are like siblings to me, so cousins can have cool relationships. Marrying your blood cousin was very acceptable in, aw I'm forgetting when exactly.

Creep: I hope they like mutant babies.
Erik: You just pointed out the problem. Your cousins are like siblings. Now go fuck your brother and tell me with a straight face that was acceptable.

But I was watching a movie from a previous era and two cousins, blood cousins, liked each other. So what.

Erik: It’s incest.
Creep: Plus, it’s another movie which wouldn’t work with P&F anyway.

And it's not like the fathers have any trouble getting along. (And about Ferbnessa, I think that though Ferb may be younger than Vanessa, he is more mature than her but can have more fun than most kids his age. That's one of the things I like about him, yep.)

Creep: A teenage boy and a woman in her late 20s? Yeah, that’s love. *sarcasm*
Erik: ….Ooooh God he’s pairing them up while Ferb is a KID?!

So, whatever happened to love ". . . . beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, [and] endureth all things"?

Creep: What happened to the sanctity of family? What happened to meeting someone that isn’t related to you, blood or not?
Erik: Like I said, this is more or less as screwed up as screwing your own sibling. I could deal with 2nd cousins once removed and crap, but Thomas and Marie are too close family-wise for this to be right.

And lastly, I've gotten attatched to them. It's been almost a year since I discovered them, so I simply can't part with that.

Creep: Pretty sad.

Some people find it cute, I guess

Creep: Which is pretty lame and shallow for being dedicated to a character. We all don’t love Phin because he’s shaped like a triangle, we don’t love Ferb because he’s “F”-shaped, etc....we like them for the CHARACTER as much as the art. =\

Creep: Forgive me, I do dislike the fans as much as the creators and the characters themselves.

Anyway, Marie and Thomas are the Phinbella and Ferbnessa children of *Angelus19 and =sam-ely-ember, and you know how immensely popular those two are, so its only natural for their fans to adopt their children too

Erik: ...Sad but true. It seems the most common reasons for liking this character is “cuteness”, “popularity”, and “IDK”.
Creep: Shallowness at it finest.

Marie is regarded by some as a Mary Sue. I admit, when I first saw her, I thought the same. But I learned to see past that and now I accept her

Erik: ...Ummmm...OK? Why? Was there any reason you needed to accept her? Almost feels like the poor bloke was peer pressured into it...

I'm not TOO crazy about Thomarie, I'm more crazy over Phinbella and Femily, although Thomas helped me learn to accept and tolerate Ferbnessa

Creep: If incest is okay, surely pedophilic will fly too!
Erik: ...I still can’t believe how popular that pairing is. God bless Monessa for at least crippling that ship.
Creep: I don’t care if it’s “rushed” or not...they’re same age for God’s sake. I hope Monessa stays true.
Erik: I would rather pair up Candace with Vanessa than see her with Ferb.
Creep: If Monessa comes true, Ferbnessa wouldn’t work, Thomas won’t be born and fuckin’ Marie will die alone. I don’t care how dark that sounds from me.
Erik: And no offense to anyone who likes these pairings. Maybe you ship Ferbnessa in a more tolerable way than “Teen on Kid”? Hell, maybe you like Thomarie and the incest just doesn’t hit you as hard as it does on us and you find it easier to ignore? ...But CreepE and I? We just find it disturbing. And...I admit...I find their popularity disturbing too. Nobody in particular...just how...overall accepted it is....
Creep: Ferbnessa would have some chance if it’s adult on adult...far into the future...and Thomarie? Nope, no romantic intentions at ALL. They should love each other like actual fuckin’ cousins and the end.
